What this site stores in your browser, and what it does not.
The short version
This site sets no cookies of its own. There is no analytics tag, no advertising pixel and no cross-site tracker. Nothing you do here is stored to identify you on your next visit, which is why you are not being asked to accept anything.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a site asks your browser to keep, so it can recognise the browser later. Related technologies - local storage, session storage - do the same job in a different drawer. We treat them all the same way in this policy.
What the site does store
- Nothing persistent. The audio player and the "listen on" picker hold their state in memory for as long as the page is open, and forget it the moment you leave.
- Your browser and our host may cache pages, images and audio so the site loads faster on a return visit. That is ordinary browser caching, not a cookie, and it identifies nobody.
Third parties
Following a link to Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or a ticketing partner takes you onto their service, and they will set their own cookies under their own policies. That happens on their site, after you leave ours.
If we later embed a player or a video that loads directly into a page here, that embed may set cookies before you click anything. We will list it in this section and add a consent banner if the law requires one.
Controlling cookies
Because we set none, there is nothing here to switch off. If you want to clear or block cookies generally, every major browser lets you do it from its privacy settings, and you can browse this site with cookies fully disabled without losing anything.
Changes
If we ever add analytics or an embed that sets cookies, this page will be updated before it goes live, and the date at the top will change. Questions: hello@simmy.co.za.
